Xiaomi has finally unveiled the upcoming MIUI 10. The company has announced the latest Android-based OS system at its Annual Meeting for MIUI division. Hong Feng, co-founder and vice president of Xiaomi confirmed that the MIUI 10 is now being developed.
With the next major version of the software, the company will be focussing on artificial intelligence and machine learning features for its upcoming devices. The company has also shared the images of the event via Chinese micro-blogging website Weibo, where it is discussing the development of MIUI 10. Xiaomi has also said that there will be many old devices which will not be getting the MIUI 10. As MIUI 10 is in the early stage of development, no further information can be extracted. Although, the new system is said to focus on bringing AI and machine learning features.
MIUI 9 that was announced alongside the Xiaomi Mi 5X last year and now it will soon be upgraded to MIUI 10 in coming months. The features of MIUI 9 included faster app load times, new design elements, lock screen shortcuts, split-screen feature, and more. Xiaomi claims to have optimized the system to enable faster app loading and boost performance. The company has announced 40 of its device getting the update soon, recently.
Also, Xiaomi is rolling out MIUI 9.2 Global Stable Update for Xiaomi Redmi 5A, Redmi Y1 Lite, Redmi Y1, Mi Mix 2, Redmi 5, Redmi 5 Plus, Redmi 4 Prime, Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi Note. The MIUI 9.2 comes with features like Add to favorites icon adjustments, simplified design for virus scan result page and hiding free and incompatible themes in the list of the purchased items.
