Mi A1 which is supposed to be an upcoming Google Android One device is the Xiaomi’s new device and was in headlines a few days back. Now the leaked image of this upcoming smartphone has surfaced online telling that it will feature a full-screen display. The company’s first Android One smartphone will be based on Xiaomi’s Mi 5X, which has been recently released and is expected to feature 5.5-inch Full HD almost bezel less display. The device was spotted on the Indonesian certification website POSTEL which tells us that it might be a Xiaomi Mi 5X sans the MIUI skin and was spotted with the model number MDG2.
Other features which are leaked for the device includes the device to have a 5.5-inch full-screen display with octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC as well. It is also believed that it will come with a dual rear camera setup as in the Mi 5X and runs Android out of the box instead of MIUI 9. The phone will also be housing a fingerprint scanner.
Many tech enthusiasts may recall that the Google has introduced Android One which aimed to bring pure Android UI and timely updates to budget smartphones in the developing market back in 2014 but failed to do so because of the success of other players in the market which offered many low costs but effective specs devices. Therefore, Google and Xiaomi are now working together to create the next Android One device from Google. Xiaomi is well known for its low-cost hardware whereas Google is the master of the world of software technology. It would be great to have these two segments to work on one project.
