With the company announcing the launch date of its upcoming high-end model, Xiaomi Mi MiX 2S, the rumors and leaks related to the device will be coming to an end. Xiaomi has announced on Sunday that the Mi MIX 2S will be announced at a launch event which is to be held on March 27, most likely in China. On the Chinese social networking portal Weibo, the company has posted an invite where not only the launch date of the model is shown but also some specs of the device are also revealed.
The phone will run the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and an AnTuTu score of 273,741 is also printed on the official invite poster. With this processor, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S will be the world’s first phone to feature the flagship Snapdragon 845 SoC. As the next generation smartphone of Mi Mix segment, the smartphone is expected to be the first true bezel-less smartphone, with a small notch on the top right which will have the front camera.
Other specifications of the device have been revealed earlier through many leaks and render. As per the reports earlier, the smartphone is touted to sport a large 5.99-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) 18:9 display. The latest Snapdragon 845 SoC will be housing the device along with 8GB RAM which also offers a 256GB inbuilt storage. The smartphone will be juiced up by a 3400mAh battery. Furthermore, Mi Mix 2S is also believed to run Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.
The rumors also say that the Mi MIX 2S might be the company’s first smartphone with an under display fingerprint sensor. As the launch is still far away, we can not say anything with surety. Further details will be shared regularly.
