For example REG 12345678901. After sending this SMS code to 09223488888 you will receive a confirmation message showing registration status.

If success, then you can start using this services or in case of unsuccessful registration then follow these steps:

  • Check the SMS format properly and the mobile number you enter.
  • It should be compulsory that the mobile number through which you are sending this code should be registered in SBI Bank with your account.

SBI Account Balance Enquiry:

You can get the last clear balance of your account by just giving a missed call or sending an SMS Code “BAL” to 09223766666.

SBI Mini Statement

To know the last 5 transactions of your bank account or get Mini Statement of your SBI account you can give a Missed Call or SMS “MSTMT” to 09223866666.

Blocking of ATM Card

To block your lost ATM card you can send an SMS “BLOCKXXXX” to 567676 (replace the XXXX with the last four digit of the card number).


You can get the last 6 months e-statement of your SBI bank account on your registered email id by sending an SMS “ESTMT <space> <Account Number> <space> <code>” to 09223588888.

Note that the code will be any four-digit number your will use as the password to unlock the e-statement.

Car/Home Loan Enquiry

For Car or Home loan enquiry send “HOME” or “CAR” to 09223588888

Also, you can get the full list of services by sending an SMS “HELP” to 09223588888.

This method is for people who are already who have already activation their Net banking in SBI.

If you are not, then no problem you can learn how to activate internet banking in SBI. Or if you are already registered then follow these simple steps given below:

  1. Open your web browser (Chrome, Firefox or Edge)
  2. Visit and login to your account by entering your username and password.

To check your available balance in your SBI account you can visit your nearest State Bank of India ATM. To know your balance through SBI ATM follow these steps:

  1. Swipe your SBI Debit Card in SBI ATM Machine.

To know you SBI Balance Enquiry you can visit your nearest SBI Branch, all you need is some documents with you such as chequebook or passbook.

You can de-register from SBI Quick by simply sending SMS ‘DREG Your Account number’ to 09223488888

For example, if your account number is 12345678901 then type DREG 12345678901 and sent it to 09223488888.

Q4. How do I change/update my mobile number for both SBI online banking and SMS alerts?

If you want to change or update your mobile number in SBI Account then you will have to submit a request form to your nearest SBI branch and it will take up to 24 hours to get it Updated.

Otherwise, you can call the SBI customer care and ask them to update or change your mobile number for your SBI account.

You can also change/update your mobile number for SBI Balance Enquiry Online and SMS alerts through internet banking by simply going to your profile section and select change your mobile number. You will get a 10 digit INB reference number in your new mobile number.

Then select IRATA (Internet banking Request Approval Through ATM) option. Now you need to go to any SBI ATM and select other Services – Authorization.

Q5. Can I use a same mobile number for two accounts in SBI for internet banking?

In SBI Bank Policy If you have registered at your branch, you can enable up to five Savings/ Current accounts for Mobile Banking Service, also you are authorized to operate these accounts.

Q6. Can I open two bank account in SBI with the same address in different branches?

Now, most of the Banks are functioning under Core Banking system that is fully networked. There is no need to open an account with same person & address in different branches. The account holder can operate in any of the branches of the same Bank.

Almost all the Banks are now offering internet banking, mobile Banking etc., so the geographical location of the Bank Branch for conducting transactions now hardly matters.
