The latest version of Google OS for mobile device, the Android 8.0 Oreo is now being rolled out to the Samsung Pay app. This new update is already available in India that comes at a size of 104MB. But it is still unclear on when the Android 8.0 Oreo update will be arrive in other territories. The update also brings about bug fixes and improvements that would enhance the mobile payments app stability.
A recent report had said that the Kotak Mahindra Bank cards can now be used in Samsung Pay app in India. It is interesting to see that Android 8.0 Oreo update is now being rolled out to the Samsung Pay app though the update is yet to be release in any of the Samsung built handsets. The Oreo update for the Samsung Pay app was available via the Galaxy App store earlier this month instead of an update via the Google Play Store. It was still not clear on which countries the update was rolled out and also on which Samsung handsets apart from Samsung Galaxy S8. But now, it is said that that the beta version of the Oreo mobile OS will soon be arriving on October 31. The Samsung Galaxy App update is said to be hitting the smartphones who were enrolled in thee Android 8.0 Oreo beta Preview Program, which includes the Galaxy S8 Plus and Note 8.
The Android 8.0 Oreo OS is the latest update even though only a few Android devices have received this update after Google made an announcement of it. The new mobile OS bundles adaptive icons, security patches, circular emojis, notification channels and many more improvements and alerts. In the early 2018, the stable version of the Android 8.0 Oreo is set to be rolled out to the Samsung devices. So it is only a matter of time that the Android 8.0 Oreo update will officially be available to Samsung mobile offerings.
