Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+ Launched; Pre-Registration Starts at ₹2,000

For those who are planning to buy the newly launched flagship devices from Samsung, Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+, we are here with some good news. The pre-booking for these models have been commenced in India via Samsung’s online and offline channels. These smartphones were released by Samsung at the Mobile World Congress 2018 with major upgrades in the camera section which comes with the variable aperture and the SuperSpeed Dual Pixel sensors. Now in order to get hands on the devices, the customers need to pay Rs 2,000 to secure a handset.

The user can book the device online by registering and filling the required details such as the name, mobile number, email ID, color of the smartphone etc. Once the booking is confirmed, you will get an SMS notification for your device. To pre-book the device via offline channels, users will have to register via the Pre-book app available at the respective outlets, starting from Monday.

The duo comes in Midnight Black, Lilac Purple, and Coral Blue color variants but the 256GB storage variant of both the smartphones are available only while pre-ordering the Midnight Black variant. While on the other hand, the 64GB ROM model of the smartphones is available with all the three color options while pre-booking.

Specifications of Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+:

The regular model comes with a 5.8-inch Quad HD+ Curved Super AMOLED 18.5:9 display, while the Plus variant features a 6.2-inch display with the same resolution, panel and display aspect ratio. They are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC in the US whereas, for India and other regions, the devices will be equipped with company’s own Exynos 9810 SoC. The Galaxy S9 comes with 4GB RAM, whereas the S9 Plus will be available with 6GB RAM and both the smartphones come in internal storage options of 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB.

Samsung Galaxy S9 sports a 12-megapixel rear camera with OIS and f/1.5 and f/2.4 aperture. The plus variant features a dual rear camera setup with dual OIS, specifically a wide-angle lens with SuperSpeed Dual Pixel 12-megapixel autofocus f/1.5-f/2.4 sensor and a telephoto lens with 12-megapixel autofocus f/2.4 sensor. Both phones come with same 8-megapixel autofocus front camera f/1.7 sensor. The connectivity options include Gigabit LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, USB Type-C, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and, yes, the 3.5mm headphone jack. The Galaxy S9 is juiced up by a 3000mAh battery and the Galaxy S9+ is fuelled by a 3500mAh battery.
