Samsung launched its Samsung Galaxy S9 duo with tagline reimagined camera and focussed on the camera part of the devices above all. Looks like, the company did manage to deliver what is promised. The reputed camera review website DxOMark has come for the Galaxy S9+ and it gave the phone an overall score of 99. The phone features some exciting camera tricks, including a variable aperture and better low-light photography. The Galaxy S9 scores better than the Google Pixel 2 (98), iPhone X (97), and Huawei Mate 10 Pro (97). It’s most immediate predecessor, the Note 8, scored a 94.
DxOMark says.” the Galaxy S9+ clicks great photos in bright and sunny conditions, with bright and vivid colors and a wide dynamic range. There seems to be good noise reduction and retention of detail; the review noted limited grain in images with optimum brightness. In low light, the phone’s dual camera setup is equally impressive: it had underexposure only in the darkest level of the camera test”.
It further added, “The Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus is a smartphone without any real weaknesses in the camera department. In both still and video modes, it performs well across the board, delivering consistently good photo and video image quality in all light and shooting situations, thus earning itself our highest DxOMark Mobile score to date.”
Further, Pixel 2 still scores highest in the top subcategories of ‘Exposure & Contrast,’ ‘Color,’ ‘Autofocus,’ and ‘Texture’, while, the Galaxy S9+ has more points in terms of ‘Noise,’ ‘Zoom,’ and ‘Bokeh,’ categories. For its video performance, the camera comes with features like color reproduction, autofocus capabilities, exposure, and stabilisation. Now that the phone is on the surface, we are yet to discover more details about the phone.
