Reliance JioPhone pre-bookings have started today at 5:30pm. The features of this handset were already uploaded to the official website before the pre-orders had started getting registered.
This handset is all set to be available at free of cost just be depositing a security amount of Rs.1500 which is subjected to be refunded after a span of 3years, as confirmed by Mukesh Ambani at the current year’s Reliance AGM.
This device can be booked directly from the MyJio app or by visiting any of the Reliance Jio outlets or multi-brand outlets. Customers are required to pay Rs.500 while pre-ordering the handset and can pay the rest Rs.1000 after the phone is delivered.
Reliance JioPhone specifications
The Reliance JioPhone is all set to arrive in a candy-bar design and an alphanumeric keyboard with a 3.5mm headphone jack. This handset comes in the black color only.
The handset flaunts its 2.4 inch QVGA display screen along with a 320 * 240 pixels resolution. This phone supports a single nano SIM card that should be necessarily a Reliance Jio SIM card. No other telecom operator connections can be availed from this phone.
On the optics’ front, this handset comes with a 2 megapixel rear camera and a 0.3 megapixel front shooter. This 4G enabled device supports video recording feature as well.
Reliance JioPhone is powered by a dual core SPRD 9820A/QC8905 processor chipset clocked at 1.2GHz with Mali-400 GPU and paired with 512GB RAM and 4 GB of in built internal storage memory that can expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
This handset runs on KAI OS that is a version of Firefox OS. It comes with voice assistant that supports voice based search in Hindi and English. This device is backed up by 2000mAh Li-Po battery.
JioPhone supports all the Jio apps and supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity features.
