One after another, Jio has managed to achieve milestones ever since its entry in the telecom sector. Adding one more achievement to the existing list, Reliance Jio’s MyJiApp has become the second most Indian application to be downloaded on the Android platform with a registration of over 100 million downloads, as per the recent records. The app was launched in Sep 2012 and now with this, the company has become the first telecom brand to achieve this number of download for a self-care app.
“MyJio has crossed 100 million downloads on Google Play. It is the second Indian mobile application to cross 100 million download mark and first self-care mobile application from an operator,’ a statement given by a Reliance Jio source. Further, it also said, “MyJio is first India app to crossed 100 million marks in less than a year.”
Jio has already given nightmares to other incumbents in the market and now it is much ahead of self-care app of other operators like Airtel, Vodafone India, and Idea Cellular which have registered over 10 million downloads on Google Play Store. Hotstar is one of the leading apps with over 100 million downloads making Jio the second most downloaded app from the Play Store.
Not only MyJio app, JioTV, the TV app of Reliance Jio has recorded over 50 million downloads and managed to stand high in front of other TV apps of others operators with Airtel recording 5 million of the users while Idea and Vodafone with over one million downloads. Now the MyJio app has found its place in the list of top mobile apps in terms of downloads on the Google Play Store which also includes WhatsApp, Facebook and Messenger, and SHAREit.
