OnePlus recently launched OnePlus 5T, thus drawing all the attention back to the company’s flagship handset. However, the company does not wish to disappoint the older model users. The company has released the latest OxygenOS 5.0.1 update for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphones.
Looking at what the update is offering, the update brings in support for the aptX HD standard, a Wi-Fi hotspot device manager and an adaptive mode for screen calibration. Besides this, the update also includes the updated Android security patch to December. Additionally, the OxygenOS 5.0.1 for OnePlus 3 and 3T fixes the usual bugs, enhances the stability and performance.
Users can check the arrival of the update manually. For this, they will have to open the Settings option, click on the About Phone menu, then tap on to check System Updates. The new update is rolled up via OTA (over the air) yesterday. So, it should arrive on all the devices within a few days. If you are a OnePlus 3 or 3T user, keep checking your handset regularly.
Meanwhile, OnePlus had a busy week as the company rolled out six builds for four devices. It released the Android 8.0 Oreo beta update for the OnePlus 5T. However, it is in the beta stage and is called OxygenOS open beta 1. We can expect the stable version of Android Oreo to be rolled out to the device in the coming weeks. Besides this, the company has also confirmed that it will soon release the Face Unlock open beta for OnePlus 5.
