OxygenOS 4.5.12 Update Now Rolling Out on OnePlus 5 With Security Patch & Many Other Fixes

After rolling out the OxygenOS 4.5.11 update for the latest smartphone, OnePlus 5, from OnePlus, the company is now rolling out a new update OxygenOS 4.5.12 for the device. The update brings general bug fixes and improvements along with updating Android security patch to September. Some fixes include:

  1. The download app icon which disappeared in the version 4.5.11, has now been fixed.
  2. The bugs related to the user interface, YouTube playing, and 4G+ network are also fixed.
  3. The issue of YouTube video lagging behind audio is now fixed.
  4. The update comes with the smooth working of 4G+ network.

The update is 127MB in size and is rolling out via OTA (rolling out in batches) so might take some time to reach all the devices. The push notification will be sent to the ready devices and the interested users can always head to the Setting menu and then to About Phone section for checking for the update manually.

Specifications of OnePlus 5:

Refreshing the memory, the OnePlus 5 landed on the market on June 22 in India and the top-tier specifications of OnePlus 5 include a 5.5-inch AMOLED display and runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC which comes with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. It has a 3,300mAh battery unit with support for Dash Charging.

OnePlus 5 consists of 16MP and 20MP modules with LED flash at the back. The 16MP sensor (Sony IMX398) comes with f/1.7 aperture. On the other hand, the secondary 20MP telephoto zoom lens comes with optical zooming functionalities and f/2.6 aperture. The front camera is of 16MP.

Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity along with NFC, GPS, WiFi and 4G LTE are the connectivity options. It also has a fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone. At the base, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack along with USB Type-C port and speaker grille.
