With a striking similarity to the iPhone X, Oppo has teased a pair of new flagship models which are dubbed as Oppo R15 & R15 Plus. When Apple released iPhone X with a notch design, many smartphone manufacturers are trying to ape the design and as per the rumors, Oppo is believed to launch a device which imitated the notch from the iPhone X. Supporting the fact, Oppo has released a picture on Weibo which shows off the Oppo R15 with the notch and very thin bezels on the bottom.
Apart from the design, the 3D sensing technology in the smartphones will also be the main attraction by the company so that users will experience facial recognition and animated emoji features as well on the devices. Although, there is no such leak about the specifications of these models. But the smartphones are rumored to be running Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box with Color OS 4.0 on top. The smartphones will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 700 series chipset under the hood.
The teaser posted by the company also confirms the launch of R15 and R15 Plus at the same time and the company is planning to launch these devices first in China. The company has not given any official statement yet so we are not sure about the release date of the phones in the Indian markets. But seeing the adaption of notch-like design, one thing is sure, many smartphones companies will be going to use this design in their upcoming flagship models.
Further details will be shared regularly.
