Now Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 Design Shown in CAD-Based Renders, Stereo Speakers in Tow

Google is set to release the successors to last year’s Pixel and Pixel XL phablets soon, yet the rumors of its design and size are streaming across the web.  The Google smartphones, Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 are now shown in a 360-degree factory computer-aided design (CAD) by MySmartPrice in collaboration with @OnLeaks.

The much-awaited Google’s second-generation Pixel phones look almost similar to each other in the design aspects with slimmer bezels just like those present in the LG G6.  The bezels, both top and bottom, of the Pixel 2 are slightly big in relation to that of the Pixel XL 2.  It is likely that the larger Pixel XL 2 might sport an unconventional aspect ratio of 18:9 i.e., 2:1 on its display panel.

However, the most saddening observation from the leaked videos of the trusted tipsters is that both these Android flagships phones would not be exhibiting the 3.5 mm audio jack port for headphones, whereas the USB Type-C ports stay put.

Instead of the headphone jacks, the speaker grills would now be front-facing and placed below the display, which renders both these Google phablets a rank among the HTC U11, iPhone 7, and Moto Z.

Another setback for the Pixel lovers is that the upcoming Google phones would not be featuring a primary dual-lens camera set up at the rear-end, but only a single imaging system with the fingerprint sensor located below it.  The glass panel that was earlier presumed to hold both the camera and the sensor is shrunk and now positions only the camera with a protruding lens in both the devices.  Below the fingerprint sensor at the rear, the metallic body is noticed.

The speculations also follow that the dimensions of the Google Pixel 2 would come around as 145.3 x 69.3 x 7.8 mm with 8.2 mm thickness at the camera bump, while the Google Pixel XL 2 would be about 157.6 x 76.3 x 7.9 mm with 8.6 mm thickness at the protruding camera portion.

Housing the latest Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 836 chipset and Android O version 8.0.0, both the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 would soon be rolled out to its enthusiastic customers.
