A security update to the users of the Moto G5 plus in India has been released which is a part of the Monthly Android Security update. The update is not an Android update, so sadly it won’t be upgrading your phone software-wise, but it is going to bring two main changes, first one is that it Includes the updates of Android security patches through November 1st, 2017 and te second one is tat improves your phone’s stability by protecting them from bugs as it fixes them.
The update is rolled out for all the Moto G5 Plus users and you must have received the notification for the same, but if you have not received the notification yet, you should check the settings of your phone for the same. The battery on your phone should be at least 50% charged and you should be connected to a Wi-Fi network for an unbuffered update.
Talking about the features, the phone sports a 5.20-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 X 1920 pixels. The Motorola Moto G5 Plus is fueled by a 2 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and it comes paired with 4 GB of RAM. Along with the RAM, there also comes 32 GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128 GB via inserting a microSD card. Camera-wise, the device flaunts a 12 MP rear snapper and a 5 MP front selfie shooter. Packed with the device is a 3000 mAh non-removable battery. It measures 150.20 mm x 74.00 mm x 9.70 mm and weighs 155.00 grams.
Connectivity options on the board include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, USB OTG, FM, 3G and 4G. Sensors on the board are a proximity sensor, an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor and a gyroscope.
