HMD Global is working on the unveiling of its new flagships which are the Nokia 7 and the Nokia 9 smartphones. And a report has suggested that the Finnish firm might roll out these devices early in 2018. The exact date of the unveiling has not been declared officially, but the company has an event coming up on January 19, so there is a possibility of the phones to get launched there.
Talking about the Nokia 7 at first, the device will be launched globally now as it has already been unveiled in China earlier. The phone comes with a model number of TA-1041. Talking about the price of the phone in China, the phone comes in two storage variants, the base variant comes with a price tag of RMB 2,499 which is approximately Rs 24,600, while the top variant comes with a price tag of RMB 2,699 which is approximately equivalent to Rs 26,500.
On the other hand the the Nokia 9 will sport a 5.5-inch QHD resolution display. It will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC processor. The processor will be clubbed with 6 GB of RAM with an internal storage of either 64 GB or 128 GB. Camera-wise, there is going to be a dual-camera setup at the back. Along with the camera will be a fingerprint sensor. Packing the device is a 3,250 mAh battery with fast charging. Software-wise, it is expected to boot latest Android Oreo out-of-the-box.
Though the rolling out of Nokia 7 in India is doubtful as HMD Global’s Chief Marketing Officer, Pekka Rantala in a statement after the launch of Nokia 2 said “Nokia 7 is designed for Chinese consumers, so currently we’ve no plans to bring it to India.”
