The on-going sensational smartphones Nokia 3, 5 and Nokia 6 are expected to see hit a major update. An executive from the HMD Global, during an interview, mentioned that all the three phones will be gifted by the Android Oreo by the end of 2017. HMD General Manager from Australia, New Zealand, and Indonesia, Mark Trundie, stated this during an interview with GadgetGaul. This news instills more confidence in the company’s name.
A few days back, HMD Global called Nokia 3, the cheapest out of the handsets it has launched until now. Seeing the low price tag, yet major improvements and security patches, the company is leaving no stone unturned to make its comeback a strong one.
Apart from this, it is also expected that Nokia 8’s Android Oreo update might soon be available too. HMD is working on these updated, with tests ongoing and it will release them as soon as they become “perfect”. Another report from Vtechgraphy claimed that HMD Manager addressed the people, at a party, saying that the Nokia 8 will get its Oreo update by the end of October. Further, Nokia 8 is not even out in all of the markets globally, so this major software update is big news.
Since Nokia devices have a stocked version of all their phones; it benefits them to update their phones at a fast rate. This makes them withstand the tough competition given by Samsung and LG.
It will be interesting to see the effect of the news about the Nokia 3, 5 and Nokia 6 getting Oreo updates by the end of the year, on the sales of these devices. Anyhow, the company is excited and definitely confident on providing the services it has promised for.
