HMD owned Nokia is all set to launch Nokia branded 4 smartphones and a feature phone in the ongoing MWC 2018 which is taking place in Barcelona. The company has launched all new Nokia 8110 at the event with 4G VoLTE connectivity which is becoming a necessity in this modern age. The phone comes as the modern version of the legendary original phone with the same name.
The Nokia 8110 4G ‘slider’ phone runs on a ‘Smart Feature OS’ by which the users can get access to Google Assistant, Google Search, and Google Maps. For those who have been on Mars, HMD brought back the much-loved Nokia 3310 last year and now this Nokia 8110 “banana phone” or the “Matrix phone” is surely nostalgic. The original model was launched back in 1996 and now this new phone comes with a revamped look and updated specs. It also comes with a revamped Snake game.

Counting on the specifications of the device, the dual-SIM (Micro+Nano) Nokia 8110 4G features a 2.45-inch QVGA (240×320 pixels) display which is powered by a 1.1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 205 SoC.The processor is coupled with 512MB of LPDDR3 RAM. For optics, it has a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash while there is no front camera on the device. The phone also comes with an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance.
There is 4GB of inbuilt storage on the device with no provision of expandable storage. The connectivity options on board include 4G VoLTE with hotspot functionality, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, FM radio, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone is juiced up by a removable 1500mAh battery which is claimed to deliver up to 9.32 hours of talk time on VoLTE, and 25 days of standby time (LTE). It measures 133.45×49.3×14.9mm and weighs 117 grams.
The Nokia 8110 4G is priced at EUR 79 (roughly Rs. 6,300) and the model will be made available in Traditional Black and Banana Yellow from May.
