The much awaited smartphone, Micromax Selfie 2 has been launched in India officially on Monday. The Company had listed this launch on its website last week without talking much about it in the media. This handset is going to be available offline only from August 1 itself.
The major highlight of this device has been focussed on its front camera set up, the fingerprint scanner support at the rear end and its Android operating system support. This smartphone is going to flaunt its sleek metal body gracefully with no home button on the front screen while the volume and power keys lie on the left edge. The fingerprint scanner, as being heard from previous rumours, is positioned at the back residing somewhere near the rear camera sensor. The speaker grille lies at the bottom of the rear side itself.
Coming to the specifications, Micromax Selfie 2 runs on the Android Nougat 7.0 Operating System, powered by 1.3 GHz quad core MediaTek MT6737 SoC that is paired with 3GB of DDR3 RAM. The smartphone has a set of interesting features which is inclusive of the multi window view, notification panel, enhanced doze mode and a lot more. This dual SIM smartphone will offer a 5.2 inch HD display with 2.5D curved glass protection. The screen has 720*1280 pixels resolution. Micromax Selfie 2 possesses an in built internal storage memory of 32 GB besides offering an expandable storage facility that supports a microSD card up to 64GB.
Now, from the naming of the smartphone, we can easily guess that this handset is going to offer some exclusive features to click fabulous selfies. So, focussing on the front camera; the smartphone features an 8 megapixel front camera. It is basically an 8 megapixel Sony IM135 sensor that offers soft flash and f/2.0 aperture. This front camera offers real time bokeh effect, besides having a wide angle lens along with features like the face beauty mode and one touch shot. This smartphone has a 13 megapixel rear camera that has LED flash support, f/2.0 aperture, besides supporting features like auto scene detection, super pixel, panorama and many more. Micromax Selfie 2 will be available in India with a price tag of Rs.9,999. There will be a 100 day replacement guarantee scheme and a warranty period of 1 year on purchase of this handset.
