LG V30 Will Be World’s First Smartphone With f/1.6 Lens for Its Dual-Camera Setup

The launch of company’s most awaited smartphone is around the corner, the LG V30 will be made official on August 31st at IFA in Berlin. In this HD world, more people are attracted to the phone which gives them a mesmerizing camera experience. Keeping that in mind, LG is soon going to unveil its upcoming flagship model with an aperture of f/1.6 for the camera.

With this, LG would be launching world’s first smartphone with this wide aperture which is believed to give a more faithful approach for the images by providing a more light entrance. LG also claims that by using a new, clearer lens, there will be an improvement in camera’s low-light performance. LG also promises that the LG V30’s camera will reduce edge distortion by up to 30% as compared to V20 which will provide better shots for group selfies.

In the light of the event, Juno Cho, president of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, said, “LG boasts an unrivaled heritage in smartphone photography and our decision to adopt glass in the V30 camera is specifically because this has traditionally been the realm of DSLRs.” He further added, “For the users for whom the V series was designed, this kind of innovation is significant.”

Recalling the specifications of the device, it will feature a 6-inch FullVision QHD+ P-OLED display with the 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone might be powered by Snapdragon 835 SoC. As per the latest reports, the secondary display is no longer the part of the plan for this device. It may come in three storage variants- 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. The handset is expected to pack a 3200mAh battery and the device measures 151.4×75.2×7.4mm.
