As we are already afraid of the fact that the company will not be launching the latest flagship G7 in the event but will be coming with an updated version of its last flagship, V30 smartphone with its own AI assistant instead. The upcoming tech event, MWC 2018 is going to kick off next week and ahead of the event, LG has unveiled the 2018 editions of its K8 and K10 smartphones.
LG says these devices will go on sale in Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. These devices will be coming as the successors to the K8 (2017) and K10 (2017)that were launched at CES in January last year.Both these models are said to come with an improved camera set up along with high-speed autofocus and noise reduction for better low-light photography.
“LG’s 2018 K Series range of smartphones is focused on delivering even more value to consumers looking for the right device that fits their lifestyle and needs,” said Ha Jeung-UK, senior vice president and business unit leader for LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
LG K8 (2018) Specifications:
The LG K8 (2018) features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) On-Cell display that has a pixel density of 294ppi which is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core SoC, coupled with 2GB of RAM. For optics, it has an 8-megapixel camera sensor on the rear along with an LED flash and a 5-megapixel camera sensor on the front with features such as Auto Shot, Gesture Shot, Flash for Selfie, and Quick Share. The smartphone will be running the Android 7.1.2 Nougat.
The LG K8 (2018) has 16GB of onboard storage which is expandable via microSD card up to 32GB. The connectivity options on the smartphone are 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, and Micro-USB on the connectivity front. It packs a 2500mAh battery and weighs 152 grams.
LG K10 (2018) Specifications:
The LG K10 has a metal unibody design with a U-frame with a 5.3-inch HD display. The device is powered by an octa-core 1.5GHz processor. The smartphone will be coming in three variants named K10, K10+, and K10α with the difference in memory and camera setup. The K10 will have 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, while K10+ sports 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. These smartphones will feature a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. The K10α sports 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. With all these differences, all these phones will support expandable storage up to 2TB via microSD card slot.
LG K10 variants will run Android 7.1.2 Nougat and comes with connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and 4G LTE. The phones will be fueled by the 3,000mAh battery. The smartphone will be available in three colors including Aurora Black, Moroccan Blue and Terra Gold.
