Jio 4G Momentum :
Telecom customers in India are having a golden time right now. With the current scenario, the telecom companies are providing more data at cheaper rates and also free calling. No company wants to lag behind. Every company wants to become first choice for their customers.
This all started with the launch of JIO 4G in 2016. The moment when Mukesh Ambani declared the plans for Jio which will always be remembered in Indian telecom market.
Providing it free for more than 5 months took the market by storm. But now they are facing the repercussions of their own fate. Due to Jio plans, every major company have now launched their own plan. Plans that are way cheaper than they were.
Due to this competition, growth of Jio has hampered in last few months. As per the data provided/available JIO went down from 12.2 millions in February to 5.8 million jn March. While the net additions to Idea, Vodafone and Airtel have been increased almost drastically.
Though it should be noted that this thing doesn’t come as a surprise. Every major was always going to launch their competitive pricing. But it remains to be seen where does Jio does from this. There is still a wide scope for every company to be explored.
