Idea Upgrades Daily 4G Data Limit From 1GB to 1.5GB on Rs 309 Recharge

In a bid to counter the growing competition between the telecom giants. Idea Cellular has revised its Rs 309 tariff plan. The plan now offers 1.5GB data per day for 28 days in contrast to the existing 1GB data per day offer.

Fortunately, this is an open market plan and thus will be available to every Idea prepaid customer across India. And, the change is already effective. Looking more into the plan, in addition to 1.5GB data per day, Users will get to enjoy unlimited voice calls including roaming calls and 100 SMS per day for 28 days. However, the voice calls have a capping at 250 minutes per day and 1000 minutes per week.

Until now, both Vodafone and Idea Cellular are not offering unlimited voice calls as they are capping the voice calls at 250 minutes per day and 1000 minutes per week. However, other tech giants like Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio are offering unlimited voice calls without any FUP limit. More so, Vodafone India has confirmed that it would launch VoLTE in January 2018, while there is no official confirmation from Idea Cellular.

The current up-gradation can be linked to counter the recent plans introduced by Reliance Jio. The new plans of Rs 199 and Rs 299 offer 1.2GB data per day and 2GB data per day for 28 days respectively. On the other hand, Airtel is offering 1 GB data per day for Rs 199 and 2GB data per day at Rs 349 tariff plan for 28 days each. So Idea’s Rs 309 plan comes at the right time. And, another Rs 199 plan gives 1 GB data per day.
