If you were also waiting for an Android Oreo update for your Huawei P10 or Huawei P10 Plus smartphone, then this news is definitely for you. Huawei has finally unveiled the Emotion UI (EMUI) 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo for Huawei P10 and P10 Plus smartphones. Though, the update has been rolled out for the chinese models of these smartphones, namely the P10 VTR-AL00, the P10 VTR-TL00, P10 Plus VKY-AL00 and P10 Plus VYK-TL00. The availability of the update still remains questioned, though it is expected to arrive soon.
The features offered by Huawei’s EMUI are somewhat different from those which are offered by the stock version of Android, sharing some common functions too. The reason for this is that the main Android Oreo features are provided by EMUI too, but it also adds some other improved features and solutions which are not included in the stock version of the Android. Android Oreo’s major features which include the Picture-in-Picture mode, notifications dots, improvements to the phone’s user interface and the newest security patch will be coming to the P10 and P10 Plus along with the software update along with a better performance, decreased boot time, energy saving features and a smart voice assistant.
Talking about the features of both the devices in a brief, the Huawei P10 flaunts a 5.1-inch full HD display, while its superior version, the Huawei P10 Plus sports a 5.5-inch QHD display. Both the devices are fueled by Huawei’s very own processor, the HiSilicon Kirin 960 64-bit octa-core system-on-chip (SoC). Camera-wise, a dual camera setup with a 20 MP and a 12 MP sensor is flaunted by both the phones.
