Huawei Honor 9 and Honor 8 Pro Now Receiving Android Based EMUI 8.0 beta Update

Huawei had launched the Honor 9 and Honor 8 Pro devices earlier. These two devices had hit the digital market running on the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.

Huawei has kept its promise of rolling out new updates to both the smartphones. The Company has started rolling out the beta update for the Android 8.0 Oreo operating system to both the Honor 9 and Honor 8 pro devices.

As the Beta Programme has already started, we can expect the official release of the software soon as well, the probability indicating toward the end of this year. Developers get can overview of the update through this beta programme where they keep a forum for users to report problem and request bug fixes. This is an initiative to ensure a problem free software update in the upcoming days.

“STF- AL10 8.0.0.315 (C00)” is the update version for Honor 9 while “DUK- AL20 8.0.0.315(C00)” is the updated version for Honor 8 Pro. This update brings in the EMUI based Android 8.0 version including all the features of Android Oreo.

The Android Oreo update brings in the Picture-in Picture mode and a whole host of new features besides improving the overall performance of the system.
