Honor still hasn’t added Airtel VoLTE support for its smartphones but now it is rolling out new OTA update for its budget smartphones adding VoLTE support on Vodafone network. The company is rolling out this new update for the Honor 6X and the Honor 9i, while some tweets also suggest that Honor 7X is also receiving the Vodafone VoLTE support update. Looks like the other old smartphones from the company will also be getting the update soon.
Vodafone is soon going to launch its VoLTE services in many parts of the country and already some cities have received the VoLTE network for testing. In the beginning, only a few smartphones will be able to enjoy the VoLTE services from Vodafone. Many other smartphone manufacturers like Samsung and Apple are also likely to update their device to support the update by the end of February and March respectively.
The company will be rolling out the update in two-phase which will cover regions of metro cities such as Mumbai, Gujarat, Delhi, Karnataka, and Kolkata, in the first phase while for the second phase, the company will include Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, UP West, Chennai, UP East, Maharashtra & Goa circles. Other smartphone manufacturers like OnePlus, Xiaomi and Huawei will be supporting the update in the first phase also.
After Jio and Airtel, Vodafone is all set to launch its VoLTE services in India after which the company will be able to provide unlimited calling option without any FUP along with crystal clear calling experience.
Stay tuned for regular and latest updates.
