It all started with Reliance Jio when the company decided to increase the daily FUP of its existing plans. Soon after that, Airtel followed the same step and it also revised its plans by increasing the daily data per day limit. Now to remain in the competition, Idea has also stepped forward. Idea has also revised three prepaid tariff plans- Rs 199, Rs 449, and Rs 509. All the three plans will now offer 1.4GB data per day which earlier was 1GB/ day. The plans are also bundled with unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day.
To tackle Airtel and Jio, Idea has taken this step. Now Idea’s Rs 199 prepaid tariff plan which is valid for 28 days will offer overall data benefit of 39GB with FUP of 1.4GB/day. The Rs 449 prepaid tariff plan with the validity of 82 days will offer a total of 114GB of data from the day of recharge. And lastly, the Rs 509 plan has 90 days validity which makes the overall data benefit of 126GB.
Just like Airtel, these plans will be applicable in some of the circles which for the time being include Chennai, Tamil Nadu circles. The company is expected to apply these plans in other circles of the country as well soon.
Although there are some plans which have not been revised. This includes Rs 357 tariff plan which is still offering 2GB data per day for 28 days and the Rs 309 plan too with 1GB data per day for 70 days with no revision. If we talk about Airtel, in this case, It has revised its Rs 349 tariff plan which now offers 2.5GB data per day for 28 days.
Now that Idea has also revised its plans, we are waiting for Vodafone to come in action soon. Further details will be shared soon.
