Xiaomi is going to launch its “Desh ka Smartphone” on November 30, 2017 which it will sell exclusively on Flipkart. Some of the ongoing speculations suggest, the “Desh ka Smartphone” is likely to be the Xiaomi Redmi 5A that has already been available in China for CNY 599 which is approximately Rs. 5,800.
The device features a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and is fueled with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, clocked at 1.4 GHz. The processor is mated with 2 GB of RAM. Along with 2 GB of RAM, there comes 16 GB onboard storage. Camera-wise, there comes a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a 5-megapixel front selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture. Software-wise, the smartphone boots Android Nougat-based MIUI 9 operating system. The phone packs a battery which is claimed to last for eight days on a single charge.
Manu Kumar Jain, Managing Director of Xiaomi India, tweeted a post which said “Desh ke liye a rahan hain #DeshKaSmartphone. A new phone for #Bharat is coming soon! RT and help spread the word.”
While talking about the phone Jain also said “Talking about the phone Jain said, “There’s something that we’re planning to launch, but I can’t share more details right now. This is something we would be able to share a few weeks from now, we are trying to explore something else which is going to be revolutionary. This is still work in progress just wait for a few more week.”
Recently, two new powerbanks have been launched by Xiaomi in India, the 20,000 mAh Mi PowerBank 2i and 10,000mAh Mi PowerBank 2i at price tags of Rs 1,499 and Rs 799 respectively. Besides being available on the company’s official website Mi.com, these power banks will be available on Amazon, Flipkart and other retail stores in the country ushering from December this year.
