First betas of iOS 11.2, watchOS 4.2 and tvOS 11.2 Released for Developers

A few days ago Apple released developer beta build of iOS 11.1, watchOS 4.1, and tvOS 11.1. Now, within a very short period, Apple again has released the first developer betas for iOS 11.2, watchOS 4.2, and tvOS 11.2.

As per the information, the latest iOS 11.2 which comes with a build number of 15C5092b has some issues. If the users are charging their iPhone on a dock and charging their phone without the dock will make the users restart their device.  Another issue is, frequently crashing of Podcasts app. It crashes when playing a podcast by chapter markers. It also comes with a fix for the animation issue for which calculator app was not running correctly.

Another information shows that the latest beta of watchOS 4.2 comes with a build number of 15S5085b and it also has some issues. The issues include iTunes sign-in fail when paring the device and another issue is app icons appear as placeholder images.

Now coming to the first beta of TvOS 11.2, it comes with a number 15K5085b. As per the given information by Apple, App Switcher usage my show some issues and the users may get poor responsiveness when swiping between apps. In the latest beta version, tvOS 11.2 comes with an automatic mode to migrate from native frame rate and dynamic range. It supports switching the output of the display to SDR for those apps which need GPU and for video playback they don’t use AVKit.

However, it is still not clear that what types of new features have been added in this beta version. On the other hand, Apple has advised to not install these beta versions as it can bring hardware damages. These beta releases are for developers only for now, but it is expected that iOS and tvOS Public beta testers will be released soon.
