To be in the same class as the other leading telecom services, the state-owned BSNL has bounced in with an exciting offer for you. The BSNL Rs 429 plan holds what no other network could gift you until now.
If you carry along a prepaid BSNL connection, then you should unbox this present soon. It comes as a reward that this BSNL Rs 429 plan can be grabbed for your 3G networks.
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced this new scheme on a pan India basis. Howbeit, only if you are a resident of Kerala you might not get to savor the perks of this service.
Beating the likes of Reliance Jio, Airtel and Vodafone, BSNL Rs 429 plan puts forth unlimited voice calls and 1 GB data per day for a period of 90 days.
To begin with, you need to recharge your prepaid connection at Rs. 429/-. Following this, you would be immediately eligible to ring up anyone on any network. This would be free and without any expiry date. You can make voice calls on local or STD basis.
Along with this the BSNL Rs 429 plan also entitles you to a 90 GB data package. However, it would step in with the Fair Usage Policy (FUP) bounds. This means you will get to use 1 GB of data daily until 90 days are completed. Also, the service would specially turn up in your 3G network.
Director (CM) of BSNL, R. K. Mittal released a press statement expressing his joy over the state-of-the-art launch. “This Voice & Data Centric Plan is available for Rs. 429/ ie Rs. 143/ per month which gives unlimited voice (Local/STD) on any net and 90 GB data (@ 1 GB per day) for 90 days, which is the most competitive plan in present market scenario,” he said.
The BSNL Rs 429 plan would actually run for around 180 days. This is divided into two phases. In the first 90 days, you would receive unlimited free voice calls and 3G data service. Further, in the remaining 90 days, for any on-net or off-net local or STD calls, you would be charged at a rate of 50 paise per minute. If you opt for SMS during this period, on local SMS you would be charged 25 paise each. While any national SMS would cost you 35 paise.
Despite that, if you put up in Assam, North-East India or Jammu and Kashmir, you will not be allowed to enjoy the extra advantage after 90 days are over. You would be charged under the standard rates once the 90 days of the BSNL Rs 429 plan are concluded.
