The Indian telecom sector is facing a tough competition these days in the telecom sector and the telecom incumbents are trying their best to lure its customers. The state-owned telco Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is now revising plans for prepaid and postpaid customers and under this, BSNL is revising its STV 1099 plan. The plan now offers unlimited voice and data benefits for a validity of 84 days from the date of recharge.
Earlier this plan comes for a period of 30 days and with this, the company was offering unlimited data without any speed restrictions. Now the revised plan comes a validity period of 84 days and provides unlimited 3G internet and unlimited calls. The pack comes with 3GB of high-speed data daily and after reaching the FUP limit, the speed will be restricted to 80kbps.
The pack is bundled with 100 texts per day for home and BSNL roaming and unlimited free local/STD calls with outgoing roaming calls as well. The pack is inclusive of GST and with this, the company is also giving an option to set up a free BSNL Tune for the given validity period.
BSNL is the only telecom service provider which is offering long-term plans with such huge amount of daily data usage per day. While Jio’s more data plans are of 28 days only for now. Another participant is Airtel, but it is also not offering anything better than BSNL or Jio in terms of the long-term huge amount of data. It plans are starting from Rs 549 and Rs 799 respectively, coming with the validity period of 28 days only.
