For the customers who are not using data services and their only concern is with the unlimited calling, the state-owned, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has come up with two new voice tariff plans of Rs 99 and Rs 319. These plans come with the validity of 26 days and 90 days respectively. The Rs. 99 STV offers unlimited voice calling (local/ STD), national roaming (except in Delhi, Mumbai), personalized ring back tone (PRBT) and is available on a pan-India basis. The Rs 319 tariff plan also offers the same benefits but the PRBT service for 90 days. This plan is also on the pan-India basis.
As these plans are focussed on the voice-calling benefits, the company has not revealed any SMS benefits with these plans. “BSNL Board informed that we are committed to providing affordable and efficient services to our customers. These special tariff vouchers are only for voice calls and gives unlimited calling to those customers who are not using data services,” said Shri R.K.Mittal, Director (CM) in a press statement.
Now that the company has not added the benefit of a GB data even with this plan, it is yet to see how far will this plan go against Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio has a Rs 98 tariff plan which offers unlimited voice calls and 2GB data for 28 days. Even the validity is 26 days, which will make the user to recharge 14 times a year in comparison to 13 times a year with 28 days validity.
Although, Jio is still ahead in this raging competition among the telecom incumbents by providing some amazing data and voice-calling benefits to the customers. The further news will be shared soon.
