BSNL Hits 1 Crore Mobile Connections in Its Kerala Circle

There is a tough competition in the mobile phone service sector with so many new plans introduced by Reliance Jio, Airtel, Vodafone and others. Previously, Bharat Sanchar Nigam LTD (BSNL) had hoped of expanding its customer base to one crore in Kerala by the month of October. And now, BSNL has finally managed to stand out as the first company with one crore mobile connections in the Kerala circle as of 12th October, 2017. This total sum includes both postpaid and prepaid customers of the company in the Kerala circle. As per the information received from TRAI, BSNL now has a 1,00,00,061 customer base in the Kerala circle.

A total of 97.6 lakh connections in the 1,00,00,061 customer base are prepaid users and the remaining 2.4 lakh are the postpaid users. On a pan-India basis, the company has overall around 10.5 crore subscribers in India. And out of this 10.5 crore, BSNL has managed to get over one crore subscribers in the Kerala circle alone.

The company has excellent services in the Kerala circle which has thus helped BSNL acquire a strong base in the circle. It has also launched certain special plans for the users in the Kerala circle. The company’s attractive plans in the month of March provided the customers with a whopping 400TB of data each day. Also, BSNL has managed to become a leading Broadband operator across the country with a margin of 60% market share. A previous report stated that new BSNL unlimited Broadband Plans will be rolled out on 1st November 2017. It is also offering luring tariff plans in the Kerala circle like the STV 423 which will give the users 1GB data per day along with unlimited local calls for a period of 90 days. Besides this plan, there are a variety of other plans also that BSNL is offering in its Kerala circle.
