As part of ZenFone 5 Series, Asus has launched three of the smartphones at MWC 2018 in Barcelona, Spain. This includes the ZenFone 5Z, ZenFone 5, and ZenFone 5 Lite. All these smartphones feature AI-enabled features, “all-screen” 18:9 displays that deliver a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio, and dual camera systems along with ZeniMoji. The company also unveiled the ZenFone Max (M1), a smaller variant of the ZenFone Max Plus (M1) which are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 or Snapdragon 425 SoC. ZenFone 5 Lite and ZenFone Max (M1) has face unlock feature for unlocking the device which is also accompanied by the fingerprint sensor.
“We embarked on the ZenFone project four years ago with the idea to create empowering luxury for everyone to enjoy,” said Asus CEO Jerry Shen. “Today, the ZenFone 5 Series is the most intelligent ZenFone series ever, utilizing advanced AI algorithms and big-data analytics to provide users with a unique slate of intelligent camera, communication, and convenience features,” Shen added.
Asus ZenFone 5 Lite features a 6-inch Full View Full HD+ IPS display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The Zenfone 5 Lite gets a 20MP camera at the front and a 16MP rear shooter. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 mobile platform, the ZenFone 5 Lite features 4GB/6GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage.
Asus ZenFone Max (M1) features a 5.5-inch Full View HD+ IPS display with 18:9 aspect ratio which is powered by a 64-bit Quad-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm MSM8917 processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. The highlight of ZenFone Max (M1) is its dual rear camera setup of the 13MP+8MP lens. The front camera is of 8MP with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash.
