Beating the flagship models like Samsung Galaxy S8, Note 8, LG V30+, HTC has now confirmed Google’s latest OS, Android Oreo for its premium device HTC U11. The company announced the launch of Android Oreo 8.0 on Twitter where the tweet reads, “HTC U11 Oreo Update is live. Start updating now.. #HTCU11 #Oreoupdate.” After this, HTC has also promised Android 8.0 Oreo updates for some other devices like HTC U Ultra, HTC 10. The update comes with a file size of 1.48GB and the build number v3.16.708.3.
HTC U11 was launched in India at a price of Rs 51,990 and is available in Silver, Blue, and a Sapphire Blue. The changelog which is accompanied with the update is not official yet but it is believed to come with important enhancements, bug fixes, and system enhancements.
Specifications of HTC U11:
Recalling the specifications of the device, the HTC U11 features a 5.5-inch Quad-HD (1440×2560 pixels) Super LCD display. Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC which is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage. It supports expandable storage up to 2TB via microSD.
For the optics, the HTC U11 boats a 12-megapixel rear sensor with OIS, f/1.7 aperture, dual-LED flash, and 4K video recording, while it has a 16-megapixel sensor on the front panel with features like Face Detection, Pro Mode with manual control, and RAW format support.
For keeping the lights on, the phone is juiced up by a 3000mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0. The phone supports 4G VoLTE. It comes with dimensions of 153.9×75.9×7.9mm and weighs 169 grams.
