Android O Updates For OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T Expected by the End of the Year

OnePlus 5 recently got its first update to OxygenOS v4.5.2. It looks like two more devices of OnePlus will receive a new update soon. The OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphones were launched in 2016. And now both of these handsets might get Android O updates, as assured by the company. During the AMA (ask me anything) session on Reddit, OnePlus confirmed that the smartphones of 2016 will get an Android O update ‘within’ this year. As we know, OnePlus 5 is already rolling out with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. So the previous phones getting updated to Android O is very much in the line. It is to be noted that Android O is Android 8.0. Google is also going to launch Android O under the name of Android Oatmeal Cookie in Successors of Google Pixel and Pixel XL.

Recalling the specs of OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T, the former comes with a 5.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. It is powered by 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and it comes with 6GB of RAM. And it has a 16-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 8-megapixel front camera. It comes with 3000mAh non-removable battery.

On the other hand, OnePlus 3T comes with a 5.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. It is powered by 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with 6GB of RAM. For camera part, it has a 16-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 16-megapixel front camera. It packs 3400mAh non-removable battery.

The owners of OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T have their hopes high for this new update to come soon by the end of this year.
