Nokia 3 was originally launched with Android 7.1 Nougat and after the launch of the latest OS, Android Oreo, the users are in wait for the company to roll out the update for Nokia 3 also. Now, this is about to change. Along with the major announcement at MWC 2018 by Juho Sarvikas, the Chief Product Officer, HMD Global, it has been revealed that the company is about to start testing Android 8.1 Beta for the Nokia 3.
The smartphone is one of the affordable models by HMD Global, priced at Rs. 9,499. As per the leaked information, the Android Oreo beta update for the Nokia 3 is around 1.6GB in size and adds all the Android 8.0 Oreo features like Picture-in-Picture mode, Notification dots, Google Play Protect security scans, Autofill passwords, and Faster boot up to the device after the update. The update is also accompanied by the February Android security patch. As this is just a beta update, the update will be followed by some bugs and will be unstable.

Nokia 3 features a 5-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and has a 2.5D sculpted Corning Gorilla Glass layer for scratch resistance. The Nokia 3 is powered by a MediaTek MTK 6737 SoC that houses a Quad-core 1.3Ghz chip with 2GB of RAM. The device also comes with 16GB of storage space and has a microSD card slot for additional storage. For optics, the Nokia 3 features an 8-megapixel primary camera at the front with autofocus while for the front, there is another 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
