Amazon App Will Soon Be Updated With Alexa Support on Android

Our lives have been made much easier by the world full of virtual-assistants like Siri, Cortana, Bixby etc.

Following the league, Amazon also came with Alexa the virtual assistant in Spring this year. Accessing Alexa was possible within the retailer’s main shopping app. But until the app was only available for iPhone users and the recent reports have revealed that now the company will soon launch it for Android users as well.

Although the company has not made any official announcement yet a company representative has surely dropped some hints on Twitter. So be ready to enjoy Alexa on your Amazon app which will provide you facts, information, the weather, news, and do many things for you.

The smart assistant can do a lot of functions for users like searching and playing music, checking the calendar, providing facts, giving weather and traffic data, and finishing your shopping on Amazon.

That’s not it, the app can also be used to control other smart home gadgets on the Amazon app, get an Uber, or even order from Starbucks ahead before you head out of the door. Sounds fun right?

The basic idea behind this launch is to get customers familiar with Alexa, which in turn would encourage them to purchase a hardware device, like the Echo or Echo Dot, to bring her into their home.
