A new Samsung device has been spotted on benchmarking site FCC. The device is believed to be Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017). The model number appeared on the site is SM-T385.The device was spotted on GFXBench earlier also. There were two models present there with model numbers SM-T380 and the SM-T385. The former one comes with the Wi-Fi-only version of the tablet, and the latter, with the LTE version. The smartphone is believed to be the sequel of Galaxy Tab A 8.0 which comes with the model number SM-T350. The listing at GFXBench has revealed some of the specs and details of the device.
Specifications of Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017):
The phones might come with an 8-inch display along with a 1280 x 800 resolution. Under the hood, it is predicted to be equipped with a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor which might be paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory. According to the listings, the 2017 version will have an 8-megapixel rear camera, along with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The new Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat on board. The battery capacity of the phone is yet to be revealed.
The pricing of the phone is not confirmed yet but like its previous version, it will also be a mid-ranged flagship phone. The phone is likely to be released officially in early September at IFA 2017, but the news is not confirmed yet. It will be great to see one more Samsung device coming in the market this year.
