Alleged Motorola Moto G5S and G5S Plus Hits FCC Again, 3GB/4GB Variants Expected

Following the Moto G5 series, two of Motorola’s devices were spotted on United States Federal Communications Commission with model numbers XT-1797 and XT-1803. These devices are predicted to be Motorola’s upcoming devices Moto G5S and Moto G5S Plus. The devices are now FCC certified. There are few details and specifications which can be retrieved from the listing available on FCC.

Specifications of Moto G5S:

  1. The device has a 5.2-inch FHD Display with 1080 x 1920 pixels with a pixel density of 424ppi.
  2. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 with Adreno 505.
  3. The device runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
  4. There are two variants for RAM. One comes with 3GB and 32GB internal storage and another one has 4GB with 64GB of internal storage. The memory is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card slot.
  5. It has a 13-megapixel camera at the rear while a 5-megapixel sensor for selfies.
  6. It houses a 3,050mAh battery.

Specifications of Moto G5S Plus:

  1. The phone has a 5.5-inch FHD Display with 1080 x 1920 pixels with a pixel density of 401ppi.
  2. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 with Adreno 505.
  3. The device runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
  4. It will have RAM of at least 3GB or more. There will 32GB internal storage with expandable memory.
  5. Other features including the camera setup are same as that of Moto G5S, only the phone houses 3000 mAh battery.

Moreover, Corning Gorilla Glass 4 will be there which will be useful to provide safety from normal wear and tear. The listing provides no further details related to launch date or pricing. But it is expected that the phones might arrive early in July. It is also claimed that Moto G5S will be priced at Rs. 16999 and the Moto G5S Plus will be priced at Rs. 18999 in India.
