Just yesterday, Airtel revised its Rs. 149 plan to fight against Jio’s Rs. 149 plan. Now taking this raging war a bit more further, it has now revised its ₹399 Prepaid Plan against Reliance Jio’s Rs 399 plan. Earlier the offer was bundled with 1GB data per day with 100 SMS per day, and unlimited voice calls for 70 days. But now the validity of the plan has been increased to 84 days. So now the plan will be offering same benefits for 84 days.
The plan will be rolling out in some selected circles only, definitely excluding Andhra Pradesh & Telangana and Karnataka circle. Earlier the company revised its Rs. 149 plan to offer unlimited voice calls with roaming calls too, 100 SMS per day, and 1GB 3G/4G data for 28 days. This plan was restricted to unlimited calling from Airtel to Airtel only before the revision. This prepaid plan is for the customers in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana circle, and Karnataka circle.
The Rs 399 plan from Jio also offers same benefits as Airtel’s new revised plan, data with a limit cap of 1GB per day, unlimited voice calls, and 100 SMS per day for 84 days. So after this step, Airtel is standing equally with Reliance Jio. It is yet to see what action will Jio take now to go ahead in the race.
