In order to tackle the increasing competition, Airtel has once again proved that it is no behind Jio. Giving neck to neck competition to Jio, Aitel has now revised its entry-level pack of ₹149. Now after the revision, the plan will be offering 1GB data per day. The validity of the plan is 28 days thus making an overall data of 28GB for 28 days. The plan is applicable in most of the circles including Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, Delhi, Karnataka, etc.
The users can recharge their Airtel number from now and the offer is bundled with 100 SMS per day, and unlimited voice calls including roaming calls for 28 days. Before the revision, the company used to offer 1GB of 3G/4G data, 100 SMS per day, and unlimited voice calls for 28 days. Even after the revision, Airtel is still lacking behind Jio as Jio is still offering 1.5GB data per day under ₹149 prepaid plan along with all the benefits.
To remain in this race, Airtel has also made some changes to its other plans also. The Rs 199, Rs 448 and Rs 509 tariff plans from Airtel are now offering 1.4GB data per day for the validity period, whereas, the validity of Rs 399 tariff plan’ is extended to 84 days which earlier was of 70 days.
Looking at the fact that recently the company has encountered seventh consecutive quarterly profit loss, this is not actually a good thing for the company. But future results are still waiting. Other incumbents like Idea and Vodafone are also trying very hard to remain in the competition. Vodafone will soon be launching its VoLTE services in India.
