Adding more to its ‘Mera Pehla Smartphone’ initiative, Airtel has taken one more step ahead by partnering with China’s Transsion Group-owned Itel Mobile. Recently we came across various Samsung devices like the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017), Galaxy J5 Prime, Galaxy J7 Prime, and Galaxy J7 Pro, on which Airtel is offering cashback. And now two of Itel smartphones are also added to the list which are itel A40 and itel A41. The cashback benefit worth Rs. 1,500 will be given to the users
In a statement, Airtel said, “Customers will get a cashback benefit of Rs 1,500 on itel A40 4G and itel A41 smartphones. Both smartphones will come bundled with a monthly recharge pack of Rs 169 from Airtel.”
“We are delighted to partner itel as we expand our range of affordable 4G smartphones with an aim to enable every Indian to own a 4G smartphone and be a part of the digital revolution. Airtel now has the largest partner ecosystem of device manufacturers and we thank our partners for sharing our vision of smartphone for every Indian,” said Ajai Puri, COO, Bharti Airtel.
After all this, the itel A40 smartphone will be now available at Rs 3,099 (earlier price Rs 4,599) while the itel A41 will now cost Rs 3,199 which was earlier priced at Rs 4,699. Not only this, it is bundled with a monthly recharge pack of Rs 169 with unlimited free local and STD voice calls, and 500MB 4G data per day for 28 days.
Both the phones come with almost similar specs-sheet. They both feature a 5-inch FWVGA display, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor and for the camera section, there is a 5-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel secondary camera with flash. The smartphones run Android 7.0 Nougat, and are backed by a 2,400mAh battery.
Airtel has taken this initiative to give a neck to neck competition to Reliance Jio and increase its customer base.
