Xiaomi Mi phones have been long in demand. This fact is further confirmed by the statement released by its CEO Lei Jun. In an official statement he said there are still 5 million active phone users for Xiaomi Mi 2 and Mi 2S. The phone was dubbed to be hit by trade pundits which was launched 4-5 years ago.

There may be many different reasons and aspects related to this fact. One being the screen of Xiaomi Mi 2 which is 4.3″ inch. This screen is considered to be relatively small these days. But there are many people still in love with small screen. Another example for this is the iPhone SE series which was also popular due to its screen size. This was the question by Lei Jun which was posted on Weibo to address the customers.
Another reason maybe that there are not a lot of Android-running options, many apparently clinging to the Mi 2 (five years) and Mi 2S ( four years ago). This certainly can be the case as Android has evolved much for the younger people, but the older might still want to cling on to their old phones.
