Amazon is now considered to be the global leader for the e-commerce business. But it seems like they want to rule other fields as well.
The new reports have emerged that Amazon is likely to enter the messaging app market. Further, the rumor states that Amazon is likely to launch a new messaging app. This messaging app will be named ‘Anytime’.
The importance of messaging app in today’s world is immense and it has been shown by WhatsApp and Facebook’s own messaging app. It is also becoming very essential for business opportunities other than social use. Now the sign that another big player is entering into this market is really some news. Amazon have already proved in before that they can rule other markets as well.
With the launch of Amazon prime for videos and music and Amazon food, this is certainly another big step taken by the American company. As far as the features are concerned for the app, it is reported that the app would also allow people to connect to each other without needing to know their phone number. This would be just like a common connector among other messaging apps like WhatsApp or Viber. It all notes to, “Reach all your friends just using their name. No numbers needed.”
Another major point to come out of this is that one of the survey’s pages shared by AFTV also contains a typo. This is in a section where privacy of the app has been described. It shows something like this “Keep chats private and encrypt important messages”. This point could mean two of these things: This is not a real survey from Amazon, or someone in Amazon’s market research team is failing to run a spell check.
